We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bodø. Has a clear amber colour with a small, off-white head. Fruity aroma of peaches, berries, tropical fruit and sweet malt. Fruity is also the flavour with tones of grapefruit, apricot, pine and leather. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A fruity, well-balanced and nice DIPA.

Pours a light straw color with a hint of amber and a slight haze and minimal head. Aroma is citrus and pine but mild compared to others in the style. Taste follows the nose with some cracker biscuit and caramel mixed in. Medium bodied and dry.

Thanks cards04 for this one. Light orange body with some head, and lacing. Hops, bubblegum, citrus on the nose. Taste is not very bitter but has a nice fruity element. Not bad.

Bottle. Golden amber pour with a white head. Aroma of pine, resin, pineapple and orange. Flavour follows with less hops than expected and some sweet malt, but nice complex citrus and other light fruit flavours with resin and herbs.

Draught sample @ Akkurat, 22/5-14. Orange amber, slight haze. Grapefruit, oranges and litchi plus a toasty caramel maltiness with some pine on the nose. Flavour is medium sweet and finishes dry with toasty/bready caramel and resiny grapefruit hops. Nice, even though not fantastic.

Sample at Haand. Pours clear golden. Aroma of grass and pine. In the taste I was expecting it to be a bit more hoppy, But it does have the grass and pine. Nicely balanced
