Poured golden with a quickly dissipating thin head. Aroma was pine needles and sweet malt. Flavor was too malty for my taste for an IPA. I just really don’t see all the fuse over Brooklyn brewery. Pretty below average in my opinion.

Sampled at Music City. Sweet and big bodied double IPA. Smooth hop and malt profile makes it incredibly easy to drink. Deep orange color and a citrus sweetness that is very enjoyable.

On tap at flying saucer eleventeen party. Pours a hazy deep orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of pine, resin and onion backed with sweet grains. Flavor begins with sweet grains and light pine with a growing onion finish.

Depp yellow - only slightly cloudy maybe. Good head. Tons of fruit and flower aroma and flavor takes over the malt. A slight sweetness is the only give-away that there might be a decent amount of alcohol in it.

Draught at the brewery. Brooklyn, NY.
Cloudy amber colour with small white head. Fruity hoppy aroma with exotic fruits, mild bitterness and lemon. Fruity hoppy flavour with some dark bitterness. Tasty heavy fruity IIPA.

Tap at Gman FW. Pours a clear reddish orange color with a very light white head. Aroma is of big hops. Fresh grapefruit, and citrus spice. Hops spice. Flavor is wet hops, spicy notes with grapefruit as well. Finishes fruity.

tmoreau (1269) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUL 7, 2011
On tap at Poor Phils in Oak Park, IL. displaying a clear, golden hue, and average, white head foam that gradually diminished to a ring & film, and left some dots and dashes of lacing. I liked that the nose was strictly resin and spruce, with no noticeable citrus, a nice change from most American IPAs. The flavor balanced the medium hop bitterness with some good malt content, with the lingering bitterness coupling up with some pleasant dryness into the finish. Nice, but didn’t sense the 8.2% abv or the body of a DIPA.
