COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Gold with a half-inch of white head, medium-coarse, moderate-fast rate of decay. Aroma is orange-mango citrus, some floral honey sweetness, and a touch of hay. Body is oily-syrupy-watery, medium-medium-light weight, medium-light carbonation, moderate burn. Flavor is floral, some pine and orange, a touch of neutral candy sweetness. Light touch of clean bitterness. Overall, a decent double IPA. Nothing exceptional.

Orange color beer with a weak white head. Aroma is very hoppy, grass, orange and peach. Flavor is more bitter and sweety malty. Thick body and refined carbonation that sparkles the tongue at the end.

Bottle. Orange amber light haze. Quite english hops profile. Citrus, grassy leaves, herbs. And a crackery maltyness. Med bodied, quite easy, nice, with a bitter finish. Citrus and grassy herbs. Toasty caramels. Ok. But surprised with the englishness. Super clean though, hintkng that it’s really is made in the us.

Decent DIPA, but the aroma is not as fresh as the best examples. Well balanced flavour.

Bottle from Trembling Madness....easily the best from Brooklyn brewery. Hoppy, full bodied, citrusy, fruity. Cracking

Pale golden, clear enough and greasy film with soft ringed head. Minty citrus with a garish sweetness. Initial taste of clean soapy citrus, lean bitterness and gummy sweetness. Grass. Little bit clammy. Softly sweet. Fairly solid where it needs to be.

Bottle, Cornelius, TAD Tasting
