We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Drukket på Bakklandet skysstasjon i Trondheim. Overraskende lyst med lite skum. Komplekse smaker som henger i lenge.

A nice gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma is hoppy, bitter, slightly floral. Flavor is robust with a great hop flavor followed by a sweet and malty finish. The alcohol is masked extremely well and this beer is very sessionable.

Not overly deep/flavorful for a double IPA. Mild hops, some citrus/grapefruit, and pine. Very average in my opinion.

Appearance: Clear orange golden color with a fine off white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Harse fruity and grapefruit hoppy.
Palate: Medium to full body. Slight sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Malty, deep overripe fruity and grapefruit hoppy. Some alcohol coming up. A bit unbalanced.
Overall impression: A bit to much fruity for me and to much alcohol coming up.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo, Norway.

35,5cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours clear amber with a decent off-white head. Moderate malty aroma with noticeable hoppy notes, pine, fruits, caramel, malt and hints of citrus. Medium sweet, caramelly with hoppy notes and a nice bitterness in the finish. Decent and pleasant DIPA.

12oz bottle. Pours golden with a white head. This is an excellent IPA but a dangerous one because it goes down very easy despite the high ABV.

12 oz Bottle. Tasted on 6/23/14. Bottle from Total Wine Tampa, FL. The aroma has strong floral notes, some pine & a mild resin. Taste has floral notes & a mostly sweet with a strong malt that offsets the bitterness. Overall a little sweet for my taste but overall not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
