We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Draught at bar. Reddish color, white head. Super hoppy taste with caramel, citrus, some roastiness and dry bitter finish. Excellent DIPA.

From bottle was surprised to learn it was as an IIPA as it lacks the punch. Nice for an IPA though would have more than one

Bottle - medium dark gold with an average head. Has a peachy aroma. Like a lot of the other reviews this DIPA is a little out of the norm. Not that hoppy and rather fruity.

Bottle. Golden with small head. Medium body, slightly boozy. Not as Hoppy as I expected, but nice citrus flavor. Moderate bitterness.

Not quite an Imperial IPA taste or palate. Finish is flat. Hopping could be increased as the flavor isnt too strong. Alcohol content really the driver behind imperial IPA.

I really enjoyed this beer. It should be sold in a 6 pack instead of a 4. Moderate hopping for a double.

Seems like kind of an odd duck - like there was something more going on here, but the show’s over. Aroma is oxidized hop, woodsy, caramel. Flavor’s like nose, overly sweet. Overall ok.

355 ml bottle. Dark bar, could not see colour. Malty caramel with hoppy fruit, mango and exotic fruit. Semi sweet with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.

Backlog. Bottle sample. Hazy orange/gold with moderate white head. Pine and floral hops, bittersweet malt. Bit messy, doesn’t stand out.

On tap. Deep Amber body with an OK head but persistent visible carbonation. Bready and hoppy aroma. The flavor has a subdued citrus hop blast. Unusually sweet for style, although the bitterness is more pronounced.in the finish. Lightly syrupy, medium+ body. Medium-low carbonation. O: very flavorful but surprisingly sweet for style.
