Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 1, 2005 [At Fynske Øldage 2005] A hazy orange beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is quite hoppy with flowery and grassy notes, while the flavor is sweet and quite hoppy combined with some notes of grass and fruit - I’m thinking grapefruit. Nice not too overwhelming double IPA - though it is not listed as such. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 8, 2005 (On tap) Slightly hazy, pale amber with a creamy, off-white head leaving some very neat lacework in my glass. Distinct, oily hop aroma. Fruity, slightly caramelish sweetness, but mainly dominated by the aroma hops which only are pleasant, not overly bitter. Dry, hoppy finish. Really hope that Brooklyn will bottle this at some stage. 291005 omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden May 15, 2007 Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Clear deep golden. Lychee-like hop aroma. Sweet and fruity with peach, red currant and lots of sweaty lychees. Near full bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Piney bitter finish. Good beer. yespr (8539), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 13, 2007 CBF07 sample from tap. Pours golden orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet floral. Flavour is aroma hops, bitter and sweet malty. Good malt finish with a bitterness on top. Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 23, 2007 Draught, Moonraker
Cloudy beige-straw colour. Very heady hop nose (lime, resin, kumquat, grapefruit). Somewhat full and yeasty body. Kumquat, pine and seabreeze notes are almost cologne-like. Both sweet and hoppy...a fairly unique characteristic. Distinctive, and extremely American.
