COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer thatís beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You wonít even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

On tap 2SP. Pours a clear deep golden color with a white head that fades slowly with light lacing. Smells of fresh hops, citrus and resin. Taste light malt that gives way to hoppy citrus, then dries out with some resiny hops at the finish. Maintains decent malt balance throughout. Medium bodied, and crisp, with a slight stickiness and moderate carbonation.

Draft at Good Ta Go in Chambersburg, PA. Typical golden-amber color with white head. Aroma of citrus/piney hops and malt sweetness. Taste is more fruity then aroma led on (orangy/grapefuity notes), some light caramel, with honey/candy malt sweetness for balance. Medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter, smooth with a dry bitter finish. Pretty solid IIPA, have yet to see it bottled around here.

Pours a clear golden color with a fluffy white head. Aroma of tropical fruit and light pine. Taste is a great balance between Europe and American IPAs. Thereís a citrusy, pineapple front with piney bitter finish. Weíll balanced and crisp. Not bad and good price.

Pours clear golden, off white thick head. Nose is bready earthy and some citrus hops. The hybrid aspect of the British hops and malts adding rusty, earth and mineral bets along with the pilsner malt dryness add an interesting balance to the citrus hop and bitterness of the west coast hops. Soft bodied and really drinkable. One of Brooklyn's finer offerings ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty delightful brew. I enjoy the bright fruity notes. Loads of citrus from the hops. Plenty of sweetness from malts.

This has a fairly translucent, golden yellow-colored body with an orange glow and a lovely white head. The aroma is sweet, hoppy, lightly alcoholic, a little piney, and spicy. It has an aroma of a light-bodied imperial IPA. The flavor is different, a little grainy, with something distinctive that you feel in your breath as you exhale. Itís a little musky, really. Itís very good. Iíd love to know what the special ingredient is in this. Itís a very familiar flavor that I canít place. Whatever it is, itís a very good addition to the beer. Wow, this is good. Thin and light, itís not overly bitter for an imperial IPA, and thereís just enough alcohol to make this enjoyable and not weak. Itís a very well-balanced beer in all respects. Itís almost rye-ish, but not. I donít know how to explain it. In the throat itís very easy going down and comforting in the throat, not harsh, neither in respect to alcohol or hops. Itís just insanely easy - too easy, even - yet it holds its own. It still has a slight hop finish as it goes down your throat, but itís very clean. Itís one of those beers that makes you want to keep drinking it. Even the finish, after itís all gone down, gives you slight hint of what was there. Iím very impressed with this.
