LordBeamish (136), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada Aug 4, 2008 I had asked for a Brooklyn Lager at the Gramercy Tavern in NYC but was told that this beer had been subbed in for it on the menu for a short time.......The hazy yellow colour and minimal white head almost fooled me into thinking the waitress had messed up my order and brought me a wheat beer.......However, I was in for a tasty treat......the fruity (apple?) aroma prepared my palate for the sweet, caramel malt flavourings that would soon flow over it.....the quality hops in this beer balanced the sweetness and citrus flavourings again had me thinking of a wheat......the lacing on my glass also revealed that this was a quality brew.....excellent! mbrandon2w (109), Worcester, Massachusetts, USA Jun 16, 2007 Sampled at ABF Night of the Lagers. malty, strong alcohol warmth but not overdone. not the greatest bock argo0 (6332), Washington DC, USA May 15, 2007 (draft, vintage 2005) White head atop apple juice body.
