hoppy nose, a hint of soft oxidation. slightly hazy, but the lighting is too dark for me to comment further on the color. sturdy head. quite malty, a touch oxidized (this is a year old, so...), but it works. a citrus hop note? a hint of bitter orange flavor. good solid body. some sweetness balanced by bitterness in the finish. the 8.5% ABV is well hidden in the complex flavors.

Draft at mugs. Tangerine and sweet grain upfront, very sessionable... Usually not a big rye beer fan but this is an exception.

draft at Mug’s, amber pour, caramel malts with a touch of pine in the aroma. average bitterness in flavor, caramel malts, pine with a touch of spice. OK
