Commercial Description:
Specially brewed for Thomas Keller and his restaurants, the French Laundry, Per Se and Bouchon.<br /> Blue Apron Ale has a deep brown color and a palate redolent of oranges, caramel, bread and chocolate, with Belgian yeast adding a hint of spice. 100% bottle re-fermentation gives the beer a lively natural carbonation. Best served at 50 Deg. F, Blue Apron Ale is a fine accompaniment to beef, lamb, roasted game, cured meats, reuben sandwiches and good cheese.

Bottle shared at Yeha 08 provided by jimmack, thanks Jim. Pours a urky muddy brown with a bubly beige head. Aroma is sugary with notes of chocolate, fruit, grains. Flavor is similiar with sugary chocolate and also a touch of bubblegum creeping into the mix along with yeast and bread.

Brown with reddish hue. Off-white head. Lots of fruit in the aroma as well as toasted malts. Funky flavor with spice, toasted malts. Very nice.

Poured a murky purple brown color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of blueberries, citrus fruits, raisins, Belgian spices, toast, caramel malts, and some cocoa. Taste of citrus fruits, cocoa, berries, vanilla, and a dry, yeasty finish.

750ml. bottle thanks to Pat. Dark brown with a small beige head that looks just like a glass of Coke. Aroma is somewhat mild, with some roasted malts, light chocolate and bread. Flavor was not muted at all. Really nice pumpernickel bread flavor, brown sugar, touch of coriander and a hint of chocolate. Very dry, crisp and delicious. I hope they make this part of their regular lineup and it went great with food and goes down so easy.

Thanks Patrick for this one! Brown in color, not much of an aroma. First sip tastes like belgian brown but finishes very dry with roasty, choc. malt. Crisp finish with no aftertaste. Very enjoyable, surely would be excellent with many foods. If this WILL be the Local 2, I will be buying many!
