Pours dark brown with flecks of red. Thin, tan head that doesn’t hang around long. Aroma is a bit nutty, honey with a bit of fig. Flavor is caramel malt, a bit roasty but also a bit flat. Some hops come in on the finish, but could’ve stood a bit more of a kick to balance it out. I’d go back to it, but it doesn’t top my list.

As usual, Brooklyn produces a good beer; very good brown ale; on tap at Gingerman in Plano - kinda creamy for a brown ale - very enjoyable.

12 oz. Bottle at home poured into a Delirium snifter. Really pretty color when held to a light - deep amber with mahogany highlights. Great powerful nose of figs, raisins, port wine, sweet pastries, fruitcake. Palate is certainly creamy, with high carbonation. Flavors are very port wine like - dark fruits and caramel, with a touch of roasted malt which contributes some subdued coffee flavors. I enjoyed the dry finish, as the malty sweetness abruptly gives way to hoppy dryness. Very complex, but all in all it is a little thin and watery, which keeps it well below a "4". These complex flavors in a watery brown ale feel a little awkward. Very English. Overall a very nice brown ale, another winner from my hometown brewery.

12oz bottle into my Rochefort glass...Medium brown pretty dense. Light tan head, only about a finger and gone right away...Aroma is strong and very nutty, totally dominated by nuts, light coffee, a little hop finish...The taste is ok, mostly its really light and watery which is annoying. There is very little flavor as well, light but that’s it.
Overall, nothins special, easy to drink but doesn’t bring much to the table. I would drink hammered but that’s about it.

Bottle. Poured into a dimpled mug I got from Cheers in Boston. Deep brown/black color. Smells of malty, coffee and chocolate> . Tastes of carmel, bread and toast with a nutty aftertaste.

Pours light brown/reddish tinge. Aroma is quite sweet and malty: sugar and caramel, and then surprisingly a floral hop aroma of an English variety. The fact that Brooklyn’s beers are more British than American has really caught me off guard. Flavour is quite complex but typical brown ale. Nutty malt, roasted, and then floral fruity hops.
