COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Some green apple in aroma and dominant hops. The hops dominated the flavor with the malt and a slight sourness after. Slightly oxidized with a bit of harshness at the finish.

Mahogany with thin beige head, medium-full body, medium-full body.

Aroma: chicken coop, roast malt.

Taste: chicken coop, astringent roast malt.

Would be good if the tap system wasn’t funky.

Bottle. Dark bronze body, small white head. Aroma is faint caramel and roasted malts. Taste is caramel and sweet malts with hints of bubblegum. Medium carbonation, decent mouthfeel. A simple, yet well-made brown ale with an interesting sweet twist. Not the greatest of beers, but an OK thirst quencher.

12 oz. bottle. Pours reddish-brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is caramel and roasted malts. The taste is sweet with a significant bitter flavor and some spices. The palate is smooth and syrupy, with a faint bitter finish and a bit of alcohol warming. Overall a tasty ale.
