COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

For the eyes: a dark brown beer with small, light brown head that doesn’t last long. Flat, lightly clouded body. For the nose: heavy toasted/roasted malt aroma with coffee and chocolate notes; citrus hops; average alcohol. For the mouth: medium body with lightly sticky texture; a little bitter finish. For the tongue: nothing is too prominent, everything is just well measured. For me: very well balanced beer, seems like a perfec blend. Recomended.

Dark brown colored beer with a medium off-white head. Little weak but nice and sweet aroma of rye and some brown sugar. Roasted malt, hops and light spices in the flavor. Nice and easy.

Bottle pours a dark brown/red color with a thin tan head. Malty nutty scent. Taste is sweet then bitter and nutty. More carbonation than I like.

The aroma had me not expecting much, but the flavor gave a nice little hint of dark chocolate. Could stand to be a little more flavorful, but good for what it intends to be.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, brown colour with a ruby shine and a short beige foamy head. Sweet roast-malty aroma with caramel, liquorice, subtle berry fruity notes and a good dash of herbal and woody hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Roast-malty and slightly berry-fruity taste with caramel, liquorice and a rising hops character towards the finish. Aromatic and well-rounded brew. 29.XII.08

Bottle- Pours anice brown color with a trace of deep cherry red. Decent off white head that fades quickly with some lacing. Nice rich roasted malt aroma with a hint of chocolate. A nice mixture of malt, chocolate & coffee. Has a dry finish with a lingering caramel flavor. Medium body with carbonation, quite smooth. Easy drinker. More refreshing than I expected. A good representation of this style.
