| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Bottle purchased at Sam’s Wine & Spirits, in Chicago. Pours a deep, clear mahogany with a creamy, rocky, beige head. The nose is a pleasant, roasty, nutty/chocolate aroma. Light to medium-bodied and creamy with a lightly bitter-hopped finish. Roasted, nutty malt with a nice complement of chocolate malt, the flavor finishes with an earthy hop finish and a lingering nutty aftertaste. One of the better brown ales that I’ve sampled, this is one that’s easy to recommend. bag (103), Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA
