Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

12 oz bottle, pours a maroon color with medium head- very appetizing. Rich, sweet, chocolate aroma with hints of nuttiness. Flavor matches the sweetness of the aroma and the palate is average. Very good beer and great with meals.

bottle - Pours clear and brown (duh) with a one finger white head. The aroma is the expected caramel malt and the flavor is more of the same. It’s light and sweet, but unfortunately there’s a hint of off sourness I’m getting. Infection? It’s not strong, but it’s there. Thin and just adequate for the style.

355ml bottle from the Fine Food store at Kastrup Airport. Mostly lasting, off-white head with fragile laceworks. Deep mahogany body. Mild chocolate aroma. Roasted sweet malt and nuts up front with bitter dark berries behind which ensures it’s not too sweet. The same goes for a discreetly yeasty ending. Medium palate (30.12.2007).

Ruby brown, semi dark. nice fluffy head with ample lacing. Taste hits well with fig, honey, brown sugar and malts. alchohol bites nicely. nice and creamy finish. not bad.

Pours a nice medium ruby brown color with a small off-white head, slowly subsides. Aroma is surprizing. I think fuggle with some citrus. Light bodied but the malt sweetness does come out in the taste but not much as the hops are the main player here. does remind me of other Brooklyn beers but this is a nice original brown.

has a smell of gewürztraminer like the brooklyn lager but here the smell is not so discrete but seems me a bit artificial, some hops and malt too in the taste the same notes aftertaste bittersweet and that a bit artificial seeming note stronger than brooklyn lager, but not better
