COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Dark brown in color with good red hightlights. Decent beiged colored head. The smell is caramel, malts, sugary, sort of basic. The taste is light roast, malts, some sweetness.

Bottle, given to me by my brother. He swears by this stuff. Beautiful brownish-red color with a beige head. Aroma is sweet with noticable hops. Nice body, slightly bitter. Good.

From a 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark chestnut with a large, fizzy beige head. Overly sweet aroma, with brown sugar, malt, some caramel. Flavor is better, as the sweet quality is rounded out slightly by a little bit a dry finish. Slightly roasty, nutty, pretty nice.

Bottle, $1.50. Pours dark amber and brown with a nice fluffy head. Features a nutty aroma with accented esters and caramel malt. Mouthfeel is rather light, but about average for the style, and finish is clean. Flavor is subtly sweet, drawing on the rich malt presence, though the hops and toasty flavors keep this beer balanced and flavorful. A decent, well-blended effort by a solid brewery.

Bottled(355ml). -Reddish/brown coloured, small to medium beige head, pleasant hoppy flowery nose. Roasted malt, aromatic hops and chicory with touch of chocolate and a bit watery palate. Nothing more nothing less than drinkable.

Bottle. Light bodied, but solid brown ale in every way possible. Dark brown color, but not as dense as many browns. Roasted malty goodness in the aroma, but not very strong. Nice solid chocolate and roasted caramel flavors...just not a lot of them. Solid session brown...not very memorable.

Toasted malts and nuts in the aroma which is rich. Sweet nutty finish. One of the best brown ales I have had in awhile.

Bottled. Fennel and lentil in the aroma, spicy kilned malts, earthy hops. Flavor is diacetyl laced, with notes of hearts of palm and tree bark. Decently complex with interesting flavors but pretty much crappy to drink.
