COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Pours a deep rich mahogany color with a small light brown head. Aroma of caramel malts, chocolate, and some nuttiness. Flavor of chocolate, light coffee, and a bit of floral hops at the finish. Enjoyed this beer very much.

Bottle. Clear reddish brown pour with an initially thick light beige head that dissipates into a ring. Chocolate and nut aroma. Medium to light bodied with a bit of carbonation. Taste is primarily mild chocolate, with a touch of roasted malts and a tiny bit of creaminess right at the end. Pretty good stuff.

Pours dark brown with thin tan head. Aroma of caramel and chocolate. Interesting taste, hop fruitiness with a chocolate malt backbone, some coffee. Well balanced hop and malt profile

Pours a nice brown with a thick 3/4 inch head. Light malt aroma that’s nice. Smooth palate with a nice mouth feel. Good, but not super.

Gillar denna brown ale som är maltig, honungssöt och väldigt snäll. Men samtidigt väldigt smakrik. Full av tork frukt, honung och mörkt sött bröd.

Pours a very deep, dark brown with a small, tan head. Tastes of caramel, coffee, and malt with a slight coppery taste at the end. One of my faavorite brown ales.

Dark brown body with a thin yet clinging tan head. Nice, inviting aroma of nuts, malt, and caramel. The palate is surprisingly bright with a metallic tinge. The brew’s entry is smooth and semi-sweet. Caramel and nuts. It finishes a little bitter, but it’s extremely well-balanced with the semi-sweetness. Very easy to drink and surprisingly refreshing.
