Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Strong malt aroma and taste with chocolate notes. Full bodied but smooth. Would drink again. Brooklyn Brewery seems to get all classes right.

Colore rosso rubino scuro. Profumo di pane, caffè e cioccolato. Sapore: miele, prugne secche e uvetta. Equilibrata. Buona ma non da far impazzire.

Beautiful continuous light brown foam. The scent is malt with classic caramel malt. I also find a faint aroma of roasted bread. Palate is very rich. Malted and comfortable without being too sweet. A slightly licorice can be traced in the taste and the aftertaste is also. A very good and commendable brown ale.

Pours chestnut brown with a one finer tan head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of baked bread, lightly roasted malts, coco, rains, nuts, and caramel sweet malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma with the addition of some light hop bitterness. Has a medium body with a pretty creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, slightly dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty, well balanced brown ale that is pretty drinkable for the style.

Not many notes of what I have outside of a brown ale with an aroma of bread and malt with a hoppy finish. A "nice roast end" as well. I listed that I liked it, it was a hoppier brown ale, quite good.
