Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Poured from the 12oz bottle into a globe glass. Dark cola brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolate with mild sweetness. Flavor is similar with mild roast, some nuttiness, chocolate, and a mildly bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nothing particularly special but good and very drinkable.

Pours dark brown with beige head which does not last long. Caramel, citrus, toffee, nuts in aroma. Taste is light, a bit acid, fruity and followed by coffee, sweet and bitter, some roasted bread. Carbo is a bit too high in the beginning but leaves quickly. Nice brownie.

Bottle 35.5cl. @local AH supermarket. Clear deep dark brown, small foamy off-white head, dissipates quickly, almost no lacing; aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, brown sugar, dried dark fruits; taste is medium sweet and light bitter, followed by a light acidity, chocolate, dark bread, average duration; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste is mild sweetbitter, fruity bits, spicy notes, light acidity in the finish; not as hoppy as I expected, nice Brown Ale though.

Uma cerveja interessante. Tanto no aroma quanto em seu sabor apresenta um mistura de estilos entre porter e IPA. Cor escura com espuma bege.

Bottle in the new burger shop Kensington High Street, served by Igor the Mute. Decent brown colour, white bubbles. Quite a dry and bitter brown ale, hoppy, ashy, burnt toast. Slightly thin. Not bad.
