COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Coffee is the thing that hits first in aroma and taste. Got plum, prune, rich red watermelon. Nice hops. Smooth with touch of bitterness on back end. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Translucent brown pour with a reddish hue. Negligible white head. Aroma is malt and cut grass and a bit of nut and coffee. Dark toffee malts, sour cherries, just a touch of bitterness. Pretty smooth but filmy.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 19C). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: roasted malt aroma with notes of caramel and some dark chocolate. initial low hop aroma that starts to fade with a pine-like character and remains with a fresh note, balanced with the malt. APPEARANCE: ruby color body and clear. average light tanned head with average retention. TASTE: moderate sweet malty flavour with initial cocoa note, finishing with an almost dry coffe flavour. low bitterness and very low to no hop flavours discernible. PALATE: medium-low body with average carbonation. OVERALL: a nice american brown ale that lacks a bit more hop presence.

Mediamente carbonata, corpo medio-leggero. Retrolfatto agrumato.

5/3/15 (Bottle) - Chocolate, malt and nut scent, thin dark pour with minimal head. Sweet beer, good for desert or after a meal. Coffee, toffee and barley taste, decent kick going down than expected after tasting the sweet ingredients tasted. Overall good beer.
