Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

(USA) Pours a nice brown color with a dissipating tan head. Aroma is of hops, dark malts, and some chocolate. The taste has a toffee, malt, flavor with a hint of chocolate. The mouthfeel is kind of smoky with a bit of a dry finish. Would go very nice with a meal.

Bottle. Brown color (duh!). Nutty aroma, fairly straightfoward malt and nutty taste, with a sligth chocolate note. No malty sweetness, just a straightforward nutty flavor. I had a slight old bottle, so it might have been a little tired.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. Poured a dark mahogany color with a two finger tan head. Flavor was of sweet malt, nuts and smoke. Flavor was slightly nutty with malt dominating. A slight hoppy bite on the end. Medium bodied with good carbonation. My only knock on this beer is that it is slightly too light.

(Bottle). Sweet malty aroma. Dark reddish brown color, small tan head. Flavor has some nuts and sweetness, with smokiness in the finish. Hops give it some bite, but overall the mouthfeel is a little thin. Still, a good one.
