Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

One of the great examples of a brown ale. This beer has plenty of dark flavors and a medium body. In my mind a brown should be the gap between an amber ale and a stout. This beer falls right where it should.

Shinning cane molasses colour. Small and sparse head with some retention and lacing. Chocolate immediatelly pops in the nose. Loses strenght in the taste with a bit of hoppy character and some alchohol. Medium-light body with very little bitterness in the finish. Good carbonation.

Une bonne bière ambrée qui tire sur une inspiration belge mais les notes de caramel et l’arrière bouche de fruits exotique nous rappelle sa couleur américaine. Un gout de malt prononcé. Un couleur presque rouge.
