Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Nice almost coca cola like colour with small fine head. Aroma is malty with some caramel and coffee notes. Flavor has a nice roasted taste with a fine bitter finish.

Rich, dark amber. Smells like fresh bread with some spices. Lots of roasted caramel type flavors with a slightly dry hoppy finish.

Chestnut color with a medium tan head. Aroma of molasses, malt and nuts? Nice malty flavor with just enough hops to balance it out. Perfect with a summertime barbecue.

Nice brown ale. Pours a deep brown color with a decent white head. Great slight hoppy, roasted nutty aroma. Perfect brown ale flavor. Good malty, roasted taste, sweet. Good, but I fell like I’ve had better for some reason.

Bottle. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small diminishing light-brown head. Wonderful aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, nuts and hops -- definitely one the best smelling Browns I’ve had the pleasure to smell. Flavour follows the aroma -- starts sweet and roasty and ends with a pleasant bitterness. Medium bodied. Wow, Brown Ales are far from being a favourite of mine but leave it to Brooklyn to make a really good one -- I love this Brewery.

Bottle. Dark red/brown colour and yeasty aroma. Nice taste of roasted malts and some coffee notes. Average palette and aperance but try to forget that and taste and smell it instead. More of this...

Bottle: Cocoa, toffee, malt, nuts, caramel and hops which dominate the flavor a bit too much, very nice beer.
