Bottle: Deep red/brown clear colour, with a nice head. Aroma was coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, som metalic nose is there to,and a nice citric ending. Flavor is coffee, dark choclate, som alcoholic mouth feeling.Light to medium body, and a medium finish. Nice brown ale! a bit higher alc, and it would get a higher score.

12 ox bottle from Quake1028; nose of sweet caramel with some light banana; clear dark cherry brown with a medium, lightly lacing, beige head; flavor has an immediate coffee hit, then more caramel and sweetness fading to light hop bitterness.

Dark brown-red colour with small brownish head. Fresh nutty aromas with caramel and toffee tones. Taste is sweet at first, then transforms into a slight bitterness with nutty feel.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2007 very dark amber color. quick dissipating head. Wow, this is very hoppy with a slight caramel to it. The malt comes through in the flavour with a big hop jolt in the finish, a very solid brown ale.

Thanks Beer_Hawk for this interesting brown. A very nice roasted malt aroma. A lot of coffee and nuts come through. A light chocoffee flavor. The roasted malt dominates but a nice hop bill for a brown that compliments this beer well. A palate that is just a tad on the thin side but the carbonation is good. A pretty good brown.

12oz bottle at my departmental picnic - thanks, John! Very solid, well-hopped brown beer. The body was clear, hints of ruby, appropriate carbonation and modest head. Very inviting nutty aroma wafts out, with additional hints of sweet candy. The body is nicely substantial, and again, the hopping that balances this out gives the brew a crispness that’s well suited to the flavors. Nice one.

355ml bottle pours dark brown color with a thick off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and hints of chocolate and grassy hops. Taste is caramel malt sweetness with some chocolate and a moderate grassy hop bitterness in the finish. A very nicely done brown ale.
