COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Rødbrun farge med et offwhite skum. Aroma av malt, sjokolade, nøtter og mørk frukt. Smaken følger aroma med en litt sitrusaktig bitterhet i avsluttningen.

Brown rubby high lights with a gig tan head. A malty and hoppy aroma is present but nothing of any standout. A very slight roasted, toffee flavor from the malts and hops present but lack any real flavor other then to adding bitterness for the malts. Feels a bit thin and watery. Overall, I think this beer does not achieve it’s stated goal as being a richer and hopper then the English version. It is a ggod beer it just tastes alittle weak. Drink well my friends

Bottle from Beer Gonzo. Chestnut brown, with a head that fades very quickly. On the chunky, chewy side of medium bodied, more oily than creamy. Caramel and malt aroma, with a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness in the taste. There is something in here which, bizarrely, reminds me of the smells of a rich gravy cooking on the hob, with red wine and port in the mixture. Strange, but that’s what I got. Enjoyed this beer.

Bottle at Arlanda Airport. If I didn’t drink something after spending the whole day in Scandinavian airports I would go crazy! Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a round off white head. The aroma is roasted malts, red berry fruit, light molasses. The flavour is medium bitter with a light watery metallic hop bitter, dry mineral palate and a short bitter finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation. I’m surprised that this beer has such high ratings tbh. It’s way too light and has no body and leaves a rather unsatisfying aftertaste. I would not buy this again.
