COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Poured dark brown, with a bubbly, beige head. Faint aroma of fresh baked wheat bread. Taste is one-dimensional, but smooth. I got bread with a little bit of citrus fruit in there, which was kind of odd, but not unpleasant.

On tap at Stirling Hotel. The head does dissipate quite quickly, beautiful malty, biscuit aroma with a very smooth full bodied mouthfeel. Extremely smooth, extremely drinkable. Probably my favourite brown ale in this ABV range

Big scents of malt, licorice and bread. Pours a dark, opaque brown with a tan head. Tight bubbles and dissipates after time. Good lacing. Starts big with falvors of caramel and burnt toast. But it has a short, abrupt finish with a sour that doesn’t linger. Light carbonation. All in all like a good but unassertive porter. Quite nice.

12oz Bottle - pours dark brown thin head - coffee and chocolate on the nose - spicy on the pallet - great balance of bitter and sweetness.

En forfriskende og fyldig ale, den smager lidt af lakrids og har en god sødme.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

On tap at Burger Bar. Pours dark brown, clear, single finger tan coloured head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of coffee, spice, chocolate...Initial taste of nuts, coffee, chocolate, then some spice, caramel. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a very good brown ale, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It pours dark brown with a fast-fading head. The aroma is walnuts, light molasses notes, some nutmeg. The flavor is cereal and bread malts, a little bit of hop burn, and very subtle candy glaze on the finish. Good beer.

Sweet nutty aroma and taste pours a autumnal brown with a thin white head quite refreshing

Aroma is fairly mild and just barely meets the test for a Brown ale. In the flavor department it’s much better, still could be fuller, rounder, and richer. Tad over carbonated too.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a reddish hue. Mild dark malt and chocolate in the taste and aroma. Dry, slightly hoppy finish. nice brown.
