Transfer from BA review on 10-21-13- Poured from growler into a snifter Appearance – The body of the beer pours a nice golden-orange color with a very small foamy white head. The head fades rather fast leaving some light foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is a rather nice blend of sweet and spice. There is a nice level of toffee and honey sweetness mixed with a lighter level of an orange and banana sweetness. The spice is biggest of a coriander and clove, but also has good levels of saffron and allspice joining as well. Along with these aromas, are some nice notes of a yeasty nature, some grass, and a nice doughy smell. Overall, with a light lemon aroma, the smell is very sweet and soothing. Taste - the taste begins with a nice doughty flavor matched with lots of honey and toffee sweetness. A cracker flavor comes to fruition quickly in the taste and is joined by other flavors of a more yeasty like nature. The spice is present from the start, but gets quite a bit more potent as the flavor advances. It is heaviest of a clove and coriander flavor with a lighter saffron flavor that is persistent throughout the taste. Some lemongrass and citrus comes to the tongue more toward the end. With the spice getting even stronger as the taste advances to its finish, and with a banana and light pepper flavor coming to the tongue, a very pleasant and smooth flavor is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the slicker and more viscous side with a carbonation that consists of tiny, champagne like bubbles. The moderate level of prickly carbonation bubbles in conjunction with the slicker body are very nice for the spice and sweet nature of the brew creating a wonderful, yet soothing mouthfeel. Overall – This is a wonderfully spiced and quite pleasant drinking brew. It has a wonderful smell, taste and feel… If only it was more accessible and put in a bottled format. Very tasty.

OK, so what, a frikken nightclub, go figger. Odd yeast aroma. Taste is leather cloying sweetness. Its not as described by the bartender; a sour, BS! Not pleasant by any means, even for a tart lover. Gets strange near the end, heheh. Almost couldn’t finish this one, and I have finished every beer I every tasted. On tap at the magic tree.

Draft. Musty/yeasty lemon and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange-lemon, yeast and barley malt flavor. Nice clean, easy drinking beer.

Draught sample @ Akkurat, 22/5-14. Hazy golden. Sweet and cloying aroma with banana, honey and heavy spice. Thick sweet flavour with banana, heavy spice, honey and yeast. Ouff, too sticky and cloyingly sweet for me. At least as a sample.

Keg at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy deep golden, creamy head. Fruity nose with coriander, marzipan and light citrus. Mid sweet with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with plenty of coriander, notes of caramel and marzipan. Honeyish finish. Mellow and pleasant.

LIght copper, decent creamy beige head, modest wet lacing / Rich, sweet nose of banana, cough syrup, caramel, bread / Medium to full body, very sweet & somewhat syrupy, smooth but borderline cloying with low hopping, resinous / Sweet, big flavors of banana, resin, lime, honey, clove, coriander, nutmeg / A little overbearing.

Some unique aroma, like sweet spice. Taste was mild despite the high alcohol - hides it well.

Sample at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2013. Light hazy amber liquid with medium to big white head. Aroma of jenka, white pepper, banana, bread, grapes and dried fruit. Taste is light sweet, light bitter with notes of jenka, spices, bread and grapes. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice, clean.

Nice floral yeast aroma but not a huge palate for this one. I can definitely taste the honey and lime peel. Pours blonde with OK head and lacing. Wheat softens malt profile. Finishes slightly sweet. Tap at whole foods for free. God Bless America.

On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: The body has a light haze with an orange-amber hue. The head is thin with poor retention, settling into a bubbly ring, but no top coating.
Aroma: Big aroma with a lot going on. I get banana, floral notes, lemon peel, a hint of sour sugar like on a Sour Patch Kid, and yeast. The aroma is big, but a bit complicated.
Taste: The intro gives bubblegum flavors with a hint of coconut. This leads to a banana prominent mid that gets stronger by the finish. The finish is a touch spicy, hints of pepper heat as well. This is a bit complicated for me.
Palate: Full-bodied, lots of carbonation.
Overall: This is a bold beer with a lot going on. I see why others would like this, but I am not a huge fan myself, it’s just too busy.
