drfabulous (712), Columbia, Missouri, USA Jul 28, 2007 From a deep memory, I know I had this cask conditioned at a Gingerbread Man in NYC. My memory tells me that I thought: damn. Nice. sliffy (1951), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 1, 2007 On tap @ McNulty’s Bier Market: Black pour with a small light tan head. Aroma, roasted malts and chocolate, some coffee. Flavor, roasted malts, some coffee, medium bodied. Not bad, but it didn’t do it for me. shigadeyo (1370), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA Jul 31, 2006 Had this on draught awhile back at the Winking Lizard Crosswoods location in Columbus Ohio. Beer was black. Roasted malt aroma. Coffee and chocolate flavor with a fair amount of roasted malt as well. Not too sweet and not too dry. A very drinkable beer that I thoroughly enjoyed. I wish that Brooklyn bottled this brew! omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden May 1, 2006 Updated: Jun 1, 2006Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Black. Lightly chocolaty nose. Dry with rounded mouthfeel. Medium bodied with plenty of dark chocolate and gentle notes of grains and licorice. Medium bitterness. Svesse (1703), Hässelby, Sweden Apr 29, 2006 (Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm 28 Apr) Dark brown, almost black colour, with ruby hints. Bubbly head. Nose is roasted, velvet, with chocolate. Taste is dominated by chocolate with a bitter-sweet finish. Lots of taste, smooth as velvet, but a bit thin body. Nice taste though.
