Brooklyn Dry Stout is a bold, reddish-black Irish-style stout, rich in color but low in alcohol and very drinkable. The dark colors results from brewing with roasted malts, lending Brooklyn Dry Stout a chocolate/coffee-like flavor with a bit of an espresso bite. The finish is dry and crisp and invites another pint.

Keg at Holyrood 9a. Black with a tan head. Looks good. Charcoal notes. Some smoke. A reasonable stout. Not really worth the price of admission.

On draft at Coffee District. Can’t believe Brooklyn wanted to release a beer like this. Super dry (to be expected) but overall somewhat flavorless and not exciting

On tap at the Common Table. The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma has a good bit of chocolate in it, as well as a hint of roasted malt. The flavor is very similar. There is a ton of dry cocoa notes in the flavor, as well as some roasted malt. The beer is very dry overall. Thin mouthfeel and low carbonation.

(draught) medium clear dark brown, creamy Dark brown head with nice lacing. Nose of raisin, chocolate, light roast. Taste of light chocolate malt, cream, light German hops, really well integrated. Dry finish that’s a bit watery. Really nice dry stout.

Pours almost black with a disappointing head. Smells richly of chocolate and coffee. Tastes like slightly peppery chocolate with a touch of coffee. Caramel and nutty notes. Finishes spicy and almost clean, with a slight smooth choosing on the tongue.

Cask at taphouse. Black body, lightly tanned head. Quite sweet aroma for a dry stout. Flavour has acidic notes, also burned malt and ash. Bit hoppy at the end. Good, but not my dry stout.

Pours deep brown with a khaki head. Aroma is coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is bittersweet. Light and airy mouthfeel. Overall this is decent, it just seemed to be missing something.
