Brooklyn Dry Stout is a bold, reddish-black Irish-style stout, rich in color but low in alcohol and very drinkable. The dark colors results from brewing with roasted malts, lending Brooklyn Dry Stout a chocolate/coffee-like flavor with a bit of an espresso bite. The finish is dry and crisp and invites another pint.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2013 Black with some red hues, small beige head. Smell is malty with some coffee. Taste is malty, dry and crisp. Pretty easy drinking stout due to the low ABV.

It is a good beer, but does not show anything special. Coffee taste tendence, light biterness and balanced.

12oz bottle in an English pint. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of light roasted malts, a little bitterness, and some dough. Flavor the same with some off-notes. Average texture. A decent beer.

12oz bottle (4.7% ABV) poured into a tumbler glass. Clear dark brown with a decent dark tanned head. Pleasant dark chocolate aroma, with medium roastiness and some grassy hops. Coffee flavors, dark malts, slightly acidic, somewhat astringent, dry and quite bitter. Light-med body, easy to drink and overall OK.

Aroma: Rich chocolate and coffee aromas with hints of toasted malts. Appearance: Inky black with minimal head. Taste: Medium sweetness all the way through with a hint of bitterness at the end. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, long finish. Overall: Iím impressed, but not completely blown away. This is a nice stout, with a solid chocolatey flavor and a long, dry finish. I would certainly stock up on this the next time itís available.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Very dark black orange pour with a small foamy tan head. Feels like a traditional English brown ale at first the cuts quite dry halfway though. Hardly a Guinness but thankfully it does not feel like it is trying to be.

12 oz. bottle. Black pour, with a medium, tan head. The aroma is light coffee, dark chocolate, molasses, and light smoke and burnt bread. Sweet up front, with some roasted bitterness and spiciness through the finish. Medium to heavy body, acerbic, and biting. Not nearly as watery and light as the ABV would suggest. Much better than a certain other unnamed Irish stout.
