Bottle. Pours deep brown with a slight, light tan head. Aroma is lightly roasted with a bit of chocolate. Taste is dry, semi-sweet chocolate with a hint of hickory smoke. The smokiness really lasts on the tongue. Nothing special, not much complexity, but a solid, easy drinker.

Dark pour with a thin tan head. Shocking for a stout, I know. Coffee, a little chocolate... The dry finish is what really makes this one stand out.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle shared. Pours dark brown not quite opaque. Not much of a brownish head. The aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and some coffee undertones. The flavor is light and crisp with some of the same chocolate flavors and roasted malt flavors with some mild coffee undertones. Very decent for a dry stout. Mild to medium bodied beer.

6 pack from Kroger. Brooklyn pulls off the style fairly well. It’s dark, near black with a tan head. The aroma is like bacon with dark chocolate and some tart, dark fruits. The palate is pretty full, there is plenty of body and flavor for 3.9% It’s dry with earthy and toasty flavors. A touch of metallic character is present, but mainly the dark roasted flavor prevails. Decent.

On tap at Dancing Bear in Waco. Not too heavy for a stout, thin tan head. Maybe a little too carbonated, hard to taste the flavor, but I can taste some of the roasted notes.

Nice little creamy stout. Could only imagine what it would be like on nitro or cask. Overall, has a nice creamy almost minty finish.
