3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It’s decent, very watery in feel and earthy in taste, without much fire to back it up. The malts are kind of harsh, I like smooth stouts a lot more. Pretty good beer for the price though.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home. Pours black with thin tan head. Aroma is earthy, chocolate, light smoke and liquorice. Flavour is smoky, tobacco, dry coffee. Plenty of bubbles which is a bit different and refreshing for a stout. Finish is watery but I could probably drink a lot of this.

Nose is roast, slight coffee, a little cherry. Taste is light coffee, chocolate, a little vanilla, slight sweet tone. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. It’s almost porter like in it’s light sweetness. Overall to thin, too light.

On tap at Piper’s. Carbonic nutty cocoa notes, bit of lactose. Dark black opaque with thin creamy tan lacing head. Medium-light body with heavy carbonation. Dry start with a little hop bitterness. Some cocoa, roasted barley, and a bit of carbonic tang. A little watery at the finish but nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Dicey Reillys, Ballyshannon
Pitch black, tan bubbly head, some lacing
Aroma of soft roasted malts, dark malts, slight dark toffee malts, dark sweet chocolate
Taste of sweet dark malts that are quite nice in this, very soft roast, slight dark toffee
Palate - medium carb and body, bit too fizzy, quite smooth, fairly sweet, touch of bitter roast. Finish - not dry tbh, soft sweet dark malt chocolate linger
Overall - Didn’t seem dry to me and it’s nothing like the usual dry stouts like Guinness. Quite a pleasant stout,

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark brown colour with a fizzy-creamy beige head, good retention and minimal lacing. Aromas of hoppy grass over chocolate malts and hints of vanilla. The mouthfeel is quite thin. Watery roasted malt taste with not much dryness from the hops. Notes of mild cacao and vanilla, but really watery again. Not something to remember.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Color caoba oscuro, casi negro con espuma beige. Aromas de galleta, tostados y cereal. Cuerpo medio-bajo con un inicio que recuerda a la galleta y un final seco y tostados quizá menos intenso de los esperado. Aún así bastante bien.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from The Lazy Dog
Pours a solid dark brown/black color with a decent sized bubbly tan head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. Aromas of bitter coffee with a hint of chocolate and a touch of earth and dark fruit. The flavor is bitter roast and light chocolate with a hint of acrid earth. Light to medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a slick sharp mouthfeel. Nice dry stout, a little bit sweeter than the standard Guinness, but a nice easy drinker.
