COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Dry Stout is a bold, reddish-black Irish-style stout, rich in color but low in alcohol and very drinkable. The dark colors results from brewing with roasted malts, lending Brooklyn Dry Stout a chocolate/coffee-like flavor with a bit of an espresso bite. The finish is dry and crisp and invites another pint.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2013 12oz bottle into English pint glass. Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste is the aroma with more semi-sweet chocolate note, ashy smoke, a little metallic and a dry bitter earthy hop finish. Light body, creamy, crisp, tart and a little astringent. Overall a pretty good dry stout.

355ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a small beige head, which fades rapidly and does not leave much lacing. Savoury, nutty notes mix with mild herbal hops and a touch of black coffee to create the aroma. Mild herbal and citrus hops up front give way to nutty and biscuit malt in the mid-palate. Black coffee and more herbal hops come into the finish. A decent dry stout, if nothing astounding.

From a bottle. Pours thick and black, big roasted aroma, rich flavours of coffee and bitter chocolate. Great stuff.

Bottle. Nose is dark and inky, sweet and malty, a nice deep, dark chocolate with some roast and a touch of acridity. Pours dark brown, pitch in accumulation, and a tight light brown head. Taste off-dry, light mineral and gas, touch of acrid roast, slight coffee/espresso, plum, chocolate. Also a bit of metal in the medium-full body.

Dulçor caramelado lembra coca e é metalizado. Leve lembrança de café. Pior brooklyn disparado.

Retrogosto do malte torrado. Stout agradável, mas sem nada marcante.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Dark brown body with a thin beige head that quickly fades. Light lacing. Aroma of filter coffee, fig and plum. Flavour of chocolate, weak coffee, malty bread and dark fruits. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Far too thin and not particularly dry. Disappointing.

Not impressed or offended. Pretty much a standard dry irish. Maybe the aroma is a little weak, but everything else is a color by the numbers brew. Not terrib;y exciting. I too am glad I only got 1, but don’t regret it."

Small bottle. Black with brown head. Nose is black coffee, lactic sourness. That combination continues in the flavour, hop bitterness. Don’t care for this flavour profile.
