On draft at the brewery. Great medium bodied irish stout. Usually not a fan of this style, but really enjoyed it. Light coffee and chocolate.

5th April 2012 On tap at Tap East. Clear dark red brown beer, Decent pale tan head. Smooth palate with fine stinging carbonation. Mild lacto chocolate malt. Nice sharp generic candy fruits with strawberry most noticeable. Subtle esters and chocolate underneath. Finishes very minerally and sharp with some citric hop coming through. Minerally aftertaste. Strewth! Wasn’t expecting this level of complexity from a modest little 4.2% Irish Stout!

On Draught at the Winking Lizard Columbus Ohio, - Pours balack with a fair tan head that didn’t stay too long but left some lacing on the glass. Nice aroma of coffe and roasted malts. Flavor was mostly coffee, but a touch of chocolate and roasted malts is there as well. Finish is dry and leaves you wanting more. Smooth easy drinking. Nice dry stout..

On tap with a nice black pour. Good friendly aroma makes my mouth water. Taste is also mild and enjoyable, easy and fun. Clean and fresh enjoyable beer experience, fine and finness all in one. Pleasantly surprized and satisfied. Wish finish never came. Goodly amount of co2 makes this fine sizzly fun.

Draft from the James Joyce in Durham. Looks like a dry stout; slightly darker head, and perhaps a slightly lighter body. More hop presence and slightly fruity notes than expected. More going on than the usual creamy and chocolate notes. Dig it.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 29, 2006
(Cask@Oliver Twist, 1st sample sold of the cask :) Aroma of roasted malt and licorice. Slightly sour and lactic. Sourish-malty, mildly roasty and ashy, licoricey flavor with a vaguely bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied, slightly sticky palate with quite low carbonation. A tasty and balanced, although maybe a bit thin dry stout.
