COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Bottle from bhensonb. Pours light copper with a a modest off-white head and a nutty aroma. There is a hearty musty caramel malt flavor with a heavy dose of hop bitterness.

From bottle to tulip. Kind of hazy copper. Citrusy aroma and taste with a nice bitter hoppy ending.

IPA excepcional, tanto na aparência quanto o aroma. Amargor bem equilibrado mas ainda intenso, o que define o estilo desta cerveja. Retrogosto maltado. Muito Boa!

From a 12oz bottle: Darker golden color, big white head with lots of lacing. Smells floral. Taste like honey and a little caramel with a dryer finish. Hops are very present, but not too bitter. Oily texture, but not unpleasant.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a minimal head and quite bubbly. Smells sweet like candy corn or junk from Coney Island. Taste is really bitter, hoppy, with a hint of sweetness that reminded me of hard rock honey candy that was popular in this part of the world in the 70’s-80’s. Medium finish, fizzy, medium body.

355ml bottle. Pours a very good copper to dark amber colour with a fluffy cloud of white to tan foam. Nutty caramel aromas with some biscuity malt aromas fighting for space. The flavour is packed full of hops and you get that little mouth puckering resinous hit at the end. Medium bodies in the mouth with a big splash of hops on the palate. This is a great beer. I always thought Sierra Nevada was the benchmark for pale ales but I may have been wrong.

solid; I found this not bitter at all (despite style and description). copper pour with frothy white head. not much aroma; smooth up front then hops at end that lingered but againt not bitter - sticky mouthfeel is what I would say. OK beer..
