Commercial Description:
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Pours clear orange with some carbonation bubbles and medium sized tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is typical fruity hops. Very good, with decent alcohol too. Would buy again.

Bottle. Copper coloured, a bit unclear, smaller lacy off-white foamy layer, Solid aromatic hoppy - Amarillo - nose with subtle fruity and toasty undertones. Moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied. Lingering aromatic, spicy hoppy finish, balanced by a solid sweet maltiness. A very fine brew..........

330 mL. Pours a light amber/darkish orange with a small, off-white head that is thin and settles down quickly. Aromas of strawberry, floral hops, citrus. Flavor is doughy with some floral hops, pine resin along with lots of caramel. Creamy mouth feel. Bitter, long aftertaste. Not bad but way below the curve.

12oz bottle. Pours goldish amber with a thin tan head that dissipates slowly. Piney hop and malt aroma. Slight malt flavor with a strong hop presence. Finishes with hop bitterness. Very clean and little thin, but with great carbonation. Excellent beer. Easy to drink.
