COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Mörkt gyllene. Doftar inte så mycket men har en väl avvägd humlebeska i smaken. Lite arketyp av en IPA men inte jättespännande.

Nice little hazy golden color. The smell is not overly strong to be an IPA but of course with plenty of flowers and hops. The taste is like any really good IPA. This beer’s only drawback is the excessive ABV becuase there are hints of booze in the aftertaste.

Bottle 355ml. Clear orange-amber with small white head. Heavy floral aroma with hints of honey and a bit of lavender. Flavor is light bitter and moderate sweet. Medium body. To me it’s too sweet and not bitter enough for an IPA.

Bottle 0,35 l. First of all, the smell/ aroma, it has a very strong, but good smell, quite classic for this type of beer, nice Amber colour, and good taste of hops, nice beer with a good end with nice bitterness.

Pale amber, kind of copper, with off-white head. Hoppy nose. Less hoppy than a lot IPAs. Smooth bitter finish.

Kauge (72) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle at B*Eat (€ 5) in Torino, June 2014. Pours dark amber with small tan head. Aroma is what I reckon all Estonians old enough immediately relate to Buratino lemonade - it is a distinctively vigorous sweet caramel with no mentionable fruity or citrusy aspects. Taste is sweet: caramel and honey, also quite bitter. Little carbonation, low gravity, dry. Goes down well with a spicy burger and Mississippi blues. Would be more of an easy drinker if not for the honey-infused sweetish taste. Overall one of the maltier IPA’s I’ve had.
