Brooklyn East India Pale Ale

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a lacy white head. Chemical overtones in the nose and taste. Light body and medium carbonation. Next?

beautiful golden colour .... a very hoppy smell .... which strange enough turns into a rather malty tast, pleasant nutty bitterness ... interesting brew, if I would have been tasting this blindfolded, I can’t imagine placing this to NY ... pleased to give a good review to a US brew ....

12-oz. Dark brownish with bright caramel highlights. Light grayish film for a head. Nasty propane and sweat nose. Dry, fizzy, watery body. Not what I would have expected from Mr Oliver.

Bottle. Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity. Flavor is sweet whith a decent amount of bitterness. Decent beer just needs more depth.

Poured a dark amber with a small white head. Taste was a good balance of hops and sweetness with hints of pine and fruit. The aftertaste was slightly too bitter.

poured in tulip. hazy golden brown, very thin layer of white head that looks like it’ll leave a pretty good lacing. the head quickly disappeared. very powerful aroma. hops, pine and fruit. taste is rather bland. more flavor in the aftertaste than anywhere else, however, way less bitter than i was expecting, which in this case was a disappointment.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and hazy amberish color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of ctirus, pine, and some caramel. Tastes of citrus, pineapples, caramel, and fruity.

2/4/08 12 oz bottle from Liquor Store down the street. Pours a clear orange with a creamy off white head. Nose is muted hops. The citrus, pine, floral notes with oranges, and caramel malts. Flavors are a lot of the oranges, floral notes, with lemon and earthy notes that aren’t all that enjoyable. Not a bad IPA, but nothing to write home about.
