Dec 14, 2007 Bottle from utobeer via cgarvieuk. Aroma is dominated by toffee malts, peppery, citrus and grassy hops balancing. Taste is similar very pluckering mouthfeel, the after taste actually feels like you’ve had too much pepper in your soup. A nice ipa, not totally american or totally english, but a balance of the two.

Dec 6, 2007 bottle from total wine & more tampa: warm golden color with medium head that dissipated quickly. caramel and floral smell. citrus hops very little malt on the taste. slightly earthy then a bitter finish. not your typical ipa, but good.

Dec 2, 2007 This beer pours a nice thick head with a strong hoppy aroma and some hints of carmel malt. The color is cloudy amber and orange. As you drink the beer is very hoppy and bitter. the palate duration is very long leaving the nice hoppy coating with carmel malt along the sides of your mouth.

Dec 2, 2007 Too flowery hop for me. But after getting that past my palate it turns into a solid IPA offering. Huge flower notes in the aroma and on the buds. Descent caramely malt notes balance it but its definitly a challenge for them to do.

Nov 29, 2007 Looks great in the glass. Nice thick white head, with heavy lacing. Aroma has some hop presence, definitely more malty than a west coast IPA. More hops in the aroma than the flavor, but it’s a very pleasant balance.

Nov 28, 2007 Nice hoppy aroma with a little fruit. Flavor is hops but not too strong and well balanced with moderately sweet malt. Smooth, medium body, very easy to drink.

Nov 23, 2007 Single from Total Wine. Nice IPA hop aroma enveloped in a malt aroma. Good citric and earthy hop IPA flavor, and a nice finishing bitterness. Definitely in the English character, and a pretty respectable brew with 6.8% abv. Quite a bit different from the multitude of American West Coast IPA’s. Drinkable and enjoyable. Well above average, but a long way from world class.
