Commercial Description:
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

12 oz bottle: aroma is a delicate yet bountiful bouquet of English hops. Aromas of pine, citrus, and an earthy dustiness all rise from this light amber colored beer that pours with a decent sized head that dissipates into a film and leaves some lacing on the glass. light amber in color. Flavor is great, lots of citrus, slight pine, and the earthy dustiness that embodied the characters of English hops. All of this is on top of a solid backbone of malt which makes for a nice balance. Medium body. quite enjoyable.

Small head. Flowery fragrance. Lots of flavors and hops, nice solid bitterness, and a deep lingering aroma.

Had it on tap.. I loved this beer, it had a cloudy pale yellow body, and was beautifully balance with the perfect amount of hops.

12 oz bottle. Golden amber with a full white head. Nose of citrus and pine. Very well balanced with a full mouthfeel and some great bitterness. This isn’t like most American IPA’s. Very good.

Got this from the Utobeer market stall. Pours amber with decent sized white head. Nose of hops, spruce, and apricots. Flavours of straw, hops, and fruit with a pleasantly distinct hoppy finish. Smooth mouthfeel and not too much carbonation. Quite enjoyable, especially with the pizza it was paired with.

355ml bottle from Utobeer. Copper with thin lasting beige head. Quite soft really. Yes it has some good English beer flavours. A wider malt feel and also good Goldings and Fuggels (I guess) Some toffee malt. It’s a bit like the Meantime IPA. Godd stab at a hoppy English beer. Really very good.

12 oz. bottle. Clear orange pour with creamy white head. Smells of florals and pine. Citrus and pine flavors in the taste. Slightly astringent. Bitterness throughout. 3 months past the "Best Before" date. Easy drinking, enjoyable beer.
