Jul 15, 2007 Starts with citrus hop aromas, with an underlying candy sweetness. Clear amber with a thin white head. Flavor is interesting, a start of sweetness, then a jump to citrus bitters. It seems to be missing something, an almost hollow flavor. Very short finish, but still very drinkable. I’ll need to get a fresher bottle of this to taste to see if the age has effected it (Marked best before 04/07).

Jul 14, 2007 Bottle @ Bar Americain in Manhattan. Transparent copper pour with a small white head. Nice mixture of citrusy hops and malt in the aroma and flavor. Not a stand-out, but a solid IPA

Jul 1, 2007 Nothing to rave about, but better than the average. Pours dark orange, nice white head. Nose is slight orange, a touch of mango and duh! hops. Taste is the same, with the orange and hops coming through in full force. I’d drink a few of these at a time.

Jun 30, 2007 Updated: Aug 25, 2009Aroma is very hoppy, a little bit of citrus, combined with a nice caramel maltiness. The color is a nice clear copper, medium white head. Flavor is grapefruit, caramel, bread, common for the IPA style, but well put together. Finish is bitter, citrusy and a slight metal taste. Medium thickness, slifght oilyness. Decent IPA, defintely holds its own.

Jun 25, 2007 The aroma is very hoppy as well as malty and quite nice. The appearance is amber gold with a foamy head. The flavor is bitter but not very piny or citrusy. The malts are biscuit like. The palate is smooth. Overall a nice beer.

Jun 23, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a small white head that fades to a ring leaving some lacing. Aroma is fruity and loaded with sweet malt and floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a well balanced bitterness. An underated IPA.

Jun 22, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Nice aromas, hitting me with citrus tones and hops. The taste is great; like any good IPA, it finds the balance of hops, bitterness, and tastes very well. The first Brooklyn beer I’ve had, and it’s very good.
