petermadsen (391), Vesterbronxxx, Denmark May 13, 2007 Clear amber beer with a low, fading head.
Floral and piney hops, with some sweet grass in the aroma.
The flavour is nice and just to the point: Medium hopped (citrus and pines) and with a cleansing bitterness.
A little fizzy in the mouth but nice! Touche (57), New York, USA May 10, 2007 Decent ipa from brooklyn. Very bitter and hoppy with citrus undertones. Not too complex. mugabe (215), Sweden May 8, 2007 Bottle @ pub. Pours a cloudy amber with hoppy aroma. Unedged palate with a good bitter flavour with a bit of toffee. Sweet and dry finish. jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 7, 2007 Copper colored, with minimal head. Nice nose of orange peel and hops. Mild flavors of wheat, rose hips, and orange peel. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA May 1, 2007 on tap @ the tasting room @ Brooklyn Brewery. Decent hop flavor, medium citrus. Ok but I prefer American style IPA’s to English. Prefer the Blast! to this one sneagrams3 (1704), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Apr 29, 2007 12oz bottle. Relatively clear yet sedimented. Orange amber hue. Tight ring of white head. Bright citrus grapefruit aromas with a touch of sweet cinnamon. Medium bodied with a crisp palate. Good citrus flavors . Mildly dry and slightly bitter. Lighter IPA. Good flavors, but no real bang. jspruit (111), Dublin, Ireland Apr 29, 2007 Bought this bottle in Denmark and brought it back to Ireland-ironically enough sometimes that is what I have to do to get an American beer!
Overall I was impressed with this beer. Poured nice with good color, smelled great, tasted smooth but hoppy and went down easy and not too strong. I didnt detect too much of a citrus or floral taste at all, just a straightforward IPA. I would get another bottle if I have the chance again. Boliv (189), New York, USA Apr 23, 2007 At the brewery. Golden, very little head. Nice aroma of hops and citrus. Crisp hoppy flavor. A good beer, though I’d choose Brooklyn Blast over this one if I wanted a hop fix.
