theviolet (168), New York, New York, USA Apr 3, 2007 Pourss a medium amber color with almost no head. Smells great lots of hops. Taste is good, not much alcohol or warming at all considering the high ABV. I would definetely buy this again, perhaps a 6-pack over the weekend. Great bitterness in the finish. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Apr 3, 2007 Bottle. Clear yellow/orange colour with medium head. Hoppy aroma. Fruity and malty flavor with bitter finish. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 1, 2007 Strange how this started off tasting funny (possibly the bottle wasn’t well kept) and then it grows on you. Smell is kind of musty at first, forest floor and gym bag/sweat. Lots of hops and a little malt balance, but off flavours of soap, cooking oil, tin can make it less than enjoyable. But as it warms, becomes more palatable. Great body. garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Mar 30, 2007 From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Keller’s IGA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one pours a light amber brew with a tal, effervescent white head that quickly fades and a distinctly hoppy aroma. Tastewise, this is an interesting IPA, a bit more fruity than most, but with a definite bitterness at the finish. eaglefan538 (2355), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Mar 29, 2007 Pours a clear orangey color, weak initial head for the style, as was the lacing. The aroma was oranges, pine, other citrus. The flavor was oranges, grapefruits, pine, lemons, finishing with a touch of bitterness, not all that harsh for an IPA though. The malty stickiness was there under all this, doesn’t really add much more than more oranges, but it was there. Mouthfeel was moderate for the style, carbonation not overly done (might have been able to use a tad more). screigh (253), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 29, 2007 Pours a VERY light amber color. Large white head with large bubbles. No lacing at all. Earthy almost dirty aroma. Taste is somewhat sour, hop bitterness and nothing. Very watery. This beer is not worth the price of admition! $12 a six pack is out of line. I would buy Red Hook or Sam Adam’s Pale Ales any day before this. While they aren’t good neither is this and they cost half as much. spporras (260), Finland Mar 26, 2007 (Bottle BB 07/2007) Aromatic hoppy, citrus fruity and malty aroma. Bronze colour, very slightly hazy and small, more or less fully diminishing head with a hint of lacing. Citrus fruity, grassy, malty and moderately bitter flavour. Dry, softly carbonated and medium-bodied palate. Well balanced, crispy beer! 24/02/07 beergut111 (210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 24, 2007 Pours a amber colour with a small head. Nice bitter finish with citrus notes. Despite its lower raing , I enjoye this better than the Dog Fish 60 min.
