COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Montreal beer fest, 2006. This was one of my favorites this year, and almost all of the hoppy ones were exelent. Lovley pale copper color, perfectly clear, thin fizz, but it wasn’t the first pour on that bottle, so who knows. Aroma is tangy, piney and very bitter. Taste is prodominantly smooth bitterness, with a little cedar and a touch of nutty malt, but mostley bitter. Aftertaste is tangy, bitter and finishes with a slightly sweet orange zest touch. Mouthfeel was silky, with a dry end. Great beer. Cheers

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a small light beige head. Biscuity aroma complemented by citrusy fruits. The taste starts pleasantly sweet and biscuity followed by gentle hoppy bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable and subtle IPA.

Bottle thanks to MisoW. Aroma is nicely, empathically hoppy. Citrusy, resiny. Background caramel. Clear golden colour. Taste is intensely hoppy up front, both in bitterness and flavour. Citrusy, orange, resiny. Juicy, tasty. Easily dirnkable, refreshing. Really good, despite the hops giving me more American impression, but that might as well be my fault.

Clear amber. Stable, frothy white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma with clear malt background. Flavour is similar with good bitterness. Nice, straight forward IPA.

(Brooklyn East India Pale Ale) Bottle 355 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass, ABV 6.9% Deep copper orange colour on the body, very clear, with one finger of off-white head, a bit thin but with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of light citrus, orange peel, caramel. Taste has light citrus, melon, some tropical fruits, orange zest on the finish, with a nice bitterness there and on the aftertaste, long duration too. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Quite dry on the palate. Quite good.

"Pretty basic but well made. Clear orange color, but a decent cap. Body is a touch thin, but smooth at 6.9%. Aroma and flavor are solid for an English ipa, decent fruit, florals and bitterness. I could see myself drinking this again, but won’t go out of my way. Best before next March, so this was pretty fresh. I don’t imagine this will be all that great in January or February..."

Classicissima IPA, dal tocco anche quasi industriale, almeno a me così sembra. Potabile e beverina.

355ml, 6.9%. Amber in colour with limited white head that remains. Citrus fruits in the aroma. Hoppy, malty flavour. Bitter aftertaste typical of a pale ale. Stronger than it tastes. Tasty!

Nice aroma with malts and a hint of hops. Tastes of hops and aroma, classic IPA flavors and aromas, nothing top special.
