4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Montreal beer fest, 2006. This was one of my favorites this year, and almost all of the hoppy ones were exelent. Lovley pale copper color, perfectly clear, thin fizz, but it wasn’t the first pour on that bottle, so who knows. Aroma is tangy, piney and very bitter. Taste is prodominantly smooth bitterness, with a little cedar and a touch of nutty malt, but mostley bitter. Aftertaste is tangy, bitter and finishes with a slightly sweet orange zest touch. Mouthfeel was silky, with a dry end. Great beer. Cheers

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted very cold from can....aroma has caramel, soft fruits but the flavour just let’s this beer down. Citrus, tick, floral hops, tick but the sheer strength of the alcohol overpowers everything...leaves the palate dry with an unpleasant aftertaste. Not my cup of tea....in fact I would rather have some tea!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bernstein rötlich, für ein IPA sehr zurückhaltendes Aroma, kaum Fruchtaromen, dafür stärker malzbetont, stark bitter, nicht unangenehm

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Nose had pronounced yeast, fruits, apple, lychee, a little malt. Taste is fruity, red berry, peach, lychee, hint of lemon, fruit and caramel finish. Mouthfeel is smooth. It’s a traditional ipa with me world hops. Nice

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
I don’t like this IPA, the aroma is spot on that’s the best that’s said about this beer.
The appearance is normal but it’s kind of hard to score really good or bad on that.
The taste is primarily bitter which is normal for an ipa but it feels like complex then I’m used too.
Palate is good actually, the body is fine and the bubbles don’t feel that forced.
Overal: Man what a dissapointment. I thought I’d have bought a nice IPA. Even the bitterness isn’t that much and I smell the flowery-ness in the aroma but don’t taste it what so ever.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A very nice, classic IPA with a note of sandalwood, clear red with a small but firm white head. Very long lasting bitter aftertaste.
