Hoppy grassy aroma with caramel and citrus. Flavour is hoppy with hay notes as well as grapefruit and caramel. It ends up fruity and malty. Very nice IPA indeed. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 17, 2005 clear darkish amber with a nice size white head. definite hops, but light, not really to citrus, lots of pine. Very carbonated and kinda of smooth but it tastes like warm bile on wood, really strange. Not a dig. Fuck tha east side. any brewery from the same state as the yankees deserves a slap in the balls. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 25, 2003 The first of three beers on my BeerList that Kinz included in his recent shipment to me (others being Stone IPA and Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA). Some molasses and malt in the nose without much hops. Cloudy light amber in color with an off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Excellent lace. An avalanche of alcohol in the initial mouthfeel makes you stop and take notice. This is not your average IPA. It does not have the typical heavy hop profile. Unfortunately, I also detected some off flavors. Alcohol is warming but this brew simply doesn't taste like an American IPA. I'll have to say this one was a little disappointing and just did not live up to its billing. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Wow the malts are sweeter than I thought, flavors of fruit, carmel and salt. I prefer drier, more effervescent IPAs. This brew seems to ride the fence between Old World softness/roundness (more aged hops, less spritzy) and being New World edgy (bigger fuller hops and more effervescence). It's certianly a unique and interesting brew! ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Pours a light copper colour with a small white head. Nose is lightly hoppy and piney. Palate is medium and crisp, quite refreshing. Flavour is more of the piney hops and light sugary malt notes. Decent IPA. jfm (1695), Holbęk, Denmark
