COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

DATE TASTED: July 28, 2013 ... GLASSWARE: Howard’s Pub pint... OCCASION: celebrating twelve years of marriage to my only love and my best friend... APPEARANCE: handsome burnt orange body with consistent carbonation; thick/cloudy proud white head--solid... AROMA: crisp floral hops with caramel malts as a base; a bit of pine resin, but overall a relaxed, balanced IPA ... PALATE: medium-to-full bodied, with a strong presence throughout the mouth reasonable aftertaste...TASTE: a nice balance of sweet malts and bitter hops--not really pushing either aspect, to the point where this could be considered a straight pale by flavor... OVERALL: Having had many Brooklyns in the past, it was high time I rate some; the fourth in a series of IPAs this weekend, this brew doesn’t stun or disappoint--it fulfills its duty and eases one into the evening with a sessionable sensibility...

Uma boa e refrescante IPA. Aroma frutado e sabor que mistura fruta, lúpulo cítrico presente e amargor em desequilíbrio. Boa para o dia a dia.

Bottle at Cherry Reds Cafe, Birmingham. Dark gold with a wisp of white head. Not a massive aroma: a bit of wood, caramel, pine, orange peel. The taste however is another story entirely: sweet, malty, resinous. Chewy and well-carbonated palette. Piney hop burp. Starts ok, gets better and ends great.

Visual ambar atraente. Espuma parecia densa, mas se desfez rapidamente. Olfato leve mas lupulado. Paladar começa frutado e tende ao amargo torrado. Aftertaste metalico/seco, levemente amargo.
