The malts are deep and complex with a hoppy kiss at the end. Bigger on the hops than it’s Brit cousins. I liked this one. Hangover (773), Atlanta, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 16, 2004 Clear golden pour with a lasting, frothy white head. Beautiful appearance. Piney aroma with a hint of citrus. The hops make another, stronger appearance in the taste. Wow, this is kinda like a Rogue2IPA Lite version or something. Not quite as agressive, but about as hoppy. The alcohol was there, but I think it fit in pretty well. Decent malt backbone. Hopheads will like this for sure. Excellent. meathookjones (245), Sterling, Virginia, USA

This IPA pours a clear amber color with a decent white head that leaves some lacing around the glass. A sweet citrusy hop scent dominates the aroma with traces of malt coming through. Taste was spicy and hoppy over a balancing malt backbone. A bitter aftertaste and dry finish also complement the flavor. I didn’t realize it till after I drank the bottle but at 7% there was no trace of alcohol in the nose or the taste. It has a good body and goes down smoothly, a pretty damn good IPA. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Not heavy on the bitters like a lot of IPA’s tend to be. I guess it all comes down to the fact that the beer favors malts. I do wonder in spite of the milder hops how it would travel to india.. but that can be pondered at a later time. I’m too busy enjoying my beer. Belgo (146), Køge, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2005 Bottle. Dark golden, slightly reddish with an off-white head. Aromas of litchi fruit, a touch of lime, flowers and fresh hay. Malty notes of grain as well. On the palate there is some sweetness from the caramel malts and then a massive hop presence. Fine bittering snap to finish off. Cybercat (831), Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2008 Pours a cloudy honey-golden, barely translucent, with a thick, cream-white head - very appetizing. Aroma is strongly hoppy with an evergreen hint. Flavor is very hoppy, rather but not fiercely bitter, with a whisper of fruit or perhaps spice, quite smooth.
