Skeegle (318), USA Feb 24, 2008 Liked. A fairly laid back IPA, the hops are nice and pungent, very floral and piney, but I would have liked more of them. I’ve had APA’s with more hops than this guy, and while that doesn’t mean this beer is bad by any means, when you’re going into a beer thinking it’s going to have some reckoning hops, it’s a bit of a disappointment when they aren’t slamming you’re palate. A nice lighter IPA.
mekju_baksa (15), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Nice spicy notes make this an atypical pale ale. Quite malty with hints of apricot. Not recommended pairing this with spicy foods as the ale is complex and deserves full attention. We enjoyed this ale with Vietnamese food or just sipping while surfing the net. jmm635 (77), Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pretty dark in appearance, more than I would think for an IPA. Nice aroma of hops and grass. Flavor is weak. Slight hops, some malts, but tastes watery. Palate is light, thin, and watery. Fruitfly (53), , Pennsylvania, USA Oct 3, 2008 Copper-amber color. One finger head diminishes to nice, fine lace. Aroma is solid maltiness with some warming alcohol and a bit of citrusy hops. High carbonation gives a tangy bite to mouthfeel. Hop bitterness is the only flavor aspect that I’m getting real range in--the beer’s greatest strength. More body than most IPAs. MaltOMeal (315), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Sep 29, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, dark amber with a white head. Nose is malt and slight citrus hops. Taste is like peach-flavored iced tea. Mouthfeel is medium with a bitter finish. More like a pale ale than an IPA and not as strong on the citrus flavor as I’d prefer. blutt59 (776), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 27, 2008 bottle, very dark amber pour, head is thin, nose is faint malt and little hops, flavor is a bitter malt with some grapefruit, finish is bitter dry also
