COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Hazy amber colour with small white head. Dark hoppy aroma with alcohol. Dark harsh hoppy flavour. Not as fresh as Brooklyn Lager.

Good aroma, Amber body thin white head. Initial flavor is almost scotch ale like with dark sugars and stone fruit. Medium finish, good but not that memorable.

Mavavilhosa IPA nova iorquina, uma marcante presença de lúpulos florais, corpo e sabores dos maltes gerando complexidade, muito agradável, leve, equilibrada, nada extrema.

A nice slight fruity aroma. Fruit sensation through out, it will linger while you drink it. I quite nice.

Bland low hop profile, reminds me of an American EPA or a carbonated real ale. Very average low citrus and vague pine notes from a brewery that produces just 2 decent beers.

Tap @ the JB. Pour like Apple juice, with a small white slightly fluffy head. Aroma of faint juicy hops, some booze, slight grass. The taste is a little bitter, with some faint juicy sweetness. Average body, with a slightly fizzy carb.

12oz can., pours a golden orange, white foam, aroma of citrus, grass, hops. Excellent hoppy ipa. Well balanced, hoppy flavors, medium body, bitter hoppy finish. I was surprised this brew has 6.9%abv.

Bottle from a sampler pack. Pours amber with thin, creamy white head. Aroma is grassy and citrus hops, cereal and biscuit malts, grapefruit, and light lemon. Flavor initially carries a balance of citrus hops and bready malts, but once the pine taste kicks the flavor transitions to more bitterness. Solid IPA.

Bottle. Pours dark gold/orange with a good finger of an off white head. Aroma is orange/grapefruit citrus, bread dough, and pine. Taste is sweet malt, woody hops, and ....burnt orange?. Dry and moderately bitter finish. Very interesting as its my first EIPA; I’d recommend having a couple.
