COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, originally a summer seasonal, has been getting raves since becoming a year round offering in 1996. Garrett Oliver, a student of English brewing and beer history, uses English malts and hops to brew his EIPA in the classic, heavily-hopped style of the 19th century beers created for British soldiers serving in India.

Very drinkable pale ale, although is quite sweet and not light but rather medium+ bodied. A bit tart complementary in flavor. Deep but not harsh nor "out of" bitterness in flavor, nice balance slighlty towards maltiness. Some fruity sweet, pine/spruce like notes in aroma and flavor. Pours pale amber with frothy white-off top, medium lasing.

Bottle at conference outside Skövde. Pretty ok IPA, but my expectations were higher considering Brooklyn Lager, which I really like.

KoNrRiI (699) - Århus, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2015
0.33 bottle. Delicately hazy, light amber color and a small, white head. Hoppy aroma of exotic fruits. Taste is bitter, hoppy, fruity. Medium body, oily texture, and average carbonation. Finish is medium long and quite bitter, though not half as bitter as a an IPA could be expected to be. All in all a standard IPA, nothing to get excited about.
