3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 sheatripper (863) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 4, 2008
Draught at Bar Great Harry. Poured into a Palm tulip a cloudy amber with a creamy off-white head. Bready aromas marked with banana, mild spice and floral notes, becoming more yeasty after a while. Sweet cakey malt and sticky fruit flavors--banana, pear, white grape, fresh fig, even a bit of peach and pineapple. Slight tinge of spiciness on the finish cuts into the fruitiness. Full yeasty body with fine carbonation. Pretty nice all around.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kmweaver (3046) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - AUG 4, 2008
Draft @ BCTC. Pours a murky, hazy golden color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of honey, breadiness, and complex yeast in the aroma; light spicing. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy honey, breadiness; light spicing (cloves, touches of white pepper); high, sharp carbonation; chewy, bready, complex yeast and vanilla; as hopdog noted, reminiscent of a tripel more than anything; generous beer. Lengthy finish: sweet Belgian sugars, esters, and complex yeast; some toasty vanilla.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 graham515 (536) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 2, 2008
On draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow in the glass with an off white head. Aroma is slightly sweet with corriander and orange notes. Taste is fruity with a slight banana ester and an extremely dry and smooth finish. This is definitely one of the best beers I’ve had in a long time.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 markwise (2914) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 1, 2008
This is a phenomenal beer. It pours a hazy golden color with a strong aroma of honey, light fruit, slight floral, and very slight brett. It tastes exquisite with a very smooth taste of sugar, light fruit, and a great sweet finish. Complex beer that has many different flavor. Kudos to OTH for carrying it on draft,
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 matta (1140) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2008
On draft at Oldsmar Tap House.
Sweet candy sugar flavors, banana esters, honey roasted peanuts and almonds. A true vista of nuttiness, but a bit compounded by the candy sugars. Certainly a Belgian Strong Ale in style, but less polished and a bit more aggressive than I had anticipated.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopdog (7043) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2008
On tap. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a smaler sized white head. Aromas of fruitiness (bananas), citrus, and some spiciness. Tastes of same fruitiness (applies, pears, and bananas), citrus, and spices. Lively body. Reminded me of a Tripel.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 DocLock (5966) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2008
Draft at Capone’s. Pours turbid deep gold with 1-finger white head. Nose is very fruity, with orange, fig, melon, honey, peach, spicy yeast, perfumy florals. Very complex aroma. The flavor is fruity at first, with apricot, peach, orange, giving way to spicy yeast, florals, and some earthy and peaty finishing notes. Very complex in flavor, with a rich, complex palate, I’m gonna go ahead and cal this an elite grand cru; certainly one of the 10 best examples I’ve ever tasted.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 fishingnet (1047) - Brandon, Florida, USA - JUL 27, 2008
Tap at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a hazy deep golden with a large white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of bananas, citrus, yeast, spices, and sweet malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good.
